1. are you freaking out over a model??
I mean I'm sure they are putting a lot of work into it, but it's a model, not the actual vote.

4. Early voting timing.
The article cites counties not reporting yet. Another factor not noted is that the early voting does not yet include any "souls to the polls" voting for the first and second Sundays. The last Sunday should give us a significant boost at the very end of early voting.

5. One of my concerns is that too many Florida African American voters wait until Election Day to vote.
Almost anything can go wrong when voting comes down to a few hours on one day.

6. I'm a little confused
Are you saying that if there isn't a large turnout in urban environments that it's African American voters fault?

8. If people want change, they have to make sure their vote counts and get counted.
Anyone who does not do that is in fact a party to any victimization that happens to them. Republicans can't cheat and suppress voting by any group when republicans can't get elected.

7. Hmm
It’s early days still, but all signs point to the Democrats performing well enough up and down I-95 to potentially win mutiple top-of-ticket cabinet races for the first time in generation. The Democrats it bears repeating have lost 17 of the last 18 races for Governor and Cabinet as well as losing 20 of the last 21 statewide races where Bill Nelson has not been the Democratic nominee. Nelson should be re-elected if these trends hold and several other Democrats could win statewide. |

13. I vote on voting day
The polling place is nearer my home on voting day and it's never crowded. I have to go out of town to vote early. I promise I won't fail to vote and neither will my hubby.

14. Republicans are extremely well organized in this state
It is simply a fact. They maximize opportunity. That's why I don't believe any poll numbers giving Nelson a large lead and to lesser extent with Gillum ahead big.
Since November 2016 Republicans have registered more voters in Florida than Democrats have. That should not be possible with a president stuck in mid 30s to low 40s approval rating throughout. But I am not surprised at all, given what I witness on the ground in Miami every cycle. |
