WASHINGTON — Though the week began on a note of unrest, as tear gas was used to clear protesters from streets and more than 300 people were cited or arrested, the mood in downtown D.C. by Saturday was notably celebratory.

Saturday's crowds are expected to be the largest in the District thus far, with tens of thousands of demonstrators planned to march all around the nation's capital.

I'm in Alexandria, some eight miles south of this. I'm sure we're going to get some rain, but we haven't had any yet. It's not at all unheard of that there's rain in DC but nada here.

WUSA was showing video on their main channel, 9.1, a few minutes ago. I watch over the air. I guess there was a break in the previously shown PGA event.

I don't know where Trump is. He might be playing golf.

1. Good!

Meetcha on the Waterfront next spring, on an un-rainy moment.

3. I'm too much of a hermit. The farthest I go anymore is the Aldi down the street.

I've been throwing out old papers and magazines all day.

You can't tell a thing. It looks just the same.

2. Journalists who cover the WH say a lid was called earlier today

and Dumpus is not leaving. I wonder if Bunkie Boo Boo is already pissing himself in his Binkie Bunker.

4. I guess this is his own personal D-Day.

He has to be ready, at a moment's notice, to snap smartly into command mode.

8. My brain read your last two words as 'commode.'

Oddly, that works too.

9. What's a lid?

When he won’t be coming out for a photo op?

6. Here's the rain they were talking about.

317p: Isolated downpour moving into downtown DC. Won’t last long (less than 30 mins) but seek shelter if you hear thunder.

11. We had a light rain here in the district

it didn't last long and wasn't too bad. The ground has already dried outside since it's warm and sunny

12. I heard at least one V-22 in the vicinity of Bolling about fifteen m.inutes ago.

In itself, that's not remarkable. Still, I don't hear them every day.

The sound is unmistakable. I took a look with my binoculars, but he (or they) were out of view.
