Hi. I've moved to Denver from Arizona just last month...

Love the city, great trails and plenty of places to ride my bike.

However, the weather has been the major SUCK for the last two weeks...

I'm still transporting between Eloy and Denver to get my stuff moved and the house sold.

Lived in Denver for 30+ years, anything from 90 degrees to snow in April and early May. It has been an especially lousy stretch. I can't remember when the Rockies were rained out two days in a row. Enjoy Denver, it's a great city.

And daily thunderstorms? ... And vicious winter storms? ...

I lived in Boulder for 3 months, and it was so effing beautiful there, I took the weather in stride ... The Denver area is wonderful ...

I'm in Lafayette, CO. Believe me this is a little atypical, as we've been dry for so long. It reminds me of the weather a couple of years ago when Boulder County flooded. Anywho, it will pass.

Denver is a wonderful city in which to raise a family. Please don't hesitate to PM me if you need anything.

wait ten (metaphorical) minutes and it will change. Denver and front range average more sunshine than San Diego... This little blip just keeps it interesting. Good weather will return.

I grew up in the Denver area, going back to the days it was known as an Overgrown Cow Town, with the stockyards smack dab on the outskirts. Haven't been back in ten years, but it's no cowtown anymore, that's for sure. Beautiful city, gorgeous scenery. I recommend Roxborough State Park near Littleton, which I hiked with friends. Watch for the rock formation of George Washington's silhouette. Very cool!

I long ago transplanted myself to the Pacific Northwest, absolutely love it here, but will always have a soft spot for my old home state of Colorado. Enjoy!

but in Denver and Boulder since 1975. Colorado can't be beat. You'll love the summer hiking, biking, camping. Though it's almost as crowded on I-70 as it is during ski season, you can get to Rocky Mountain Natl Park and the Poudre easier. Hope you will get to the Four Corners, Telluride, Dinosaur, Mesa Verde, Black Canyon of the Gunnison, Sand Dunes, Steamboat, Mt Evans, Garden of the Gods, Aspen, Glenwood, Nederland, Salida........so many places children for children to explore and love. Enjoy!!

your reply to Omaha Steve. I've only been on DU for a few years but I've found his post and the articles he refers excellent, and I am inspired by his courage and acceptance of such a hard, hard diagnosis.
I'm glad you mentioned marijuana as Coloradans know many people, including children, who have been helped by using it.
Also, if my grandchildren are going to use drugs it sure beats alcohol hands down!
