(1,602 posts)I anticipate that Washington and Oregon will both follow suit, though likely not until after the mid-terms. The Democrats have a narrow majority in the State Senate, but one "Democrat", Rodney Tom has routinely been caucasing with the Republicans, giving them control. He was defeated by a wide margin in the primaries against a real Democrat, and given the way several other races are shaping up, both houses should be in Democratic hands in November.
Personally there is more than a bit of satisfaction in using states rights to fight off Trump and his cronies. I think it will be a long time before the GOP is trusted again, and I am honestly hoping that if we get a Democratic president in 2020 that they will wait before attempting to be bipartisan. The GOP does not deal in good faith, and it's time that Democrats recognized that.
