For old-time San Franciscans: What was your favorite ride at Playland at the Beach?

Whitney's Playland at the Beach was a 10 acre amusement park complex located at the western edge of San Francisco's Richmond district at Ocean Beach.
It first opened in 1922 and closed Labor Day weekend in 1972.

1. Was that the one with the red plastic elephant key?

We went there when I was really little, Id so. I just remember liking it a lot.

4. Could that have been "Limbo"?

It was a "spooky" ride, fairly new, located adjacent the Fun House.

Is it possible you went to "Funtier Village" which was a kid's amusement park located behind Playland, with "Kiddie rides", including a small roller coaster.

8. You may be thinking about the "Elephant Train" at the S.F. Zoo

which was a motorized "train" that took you on a tour of the entire zoo

7. All I remember....

was the chocolate covered frozen bananas...

.....just like the Bluths in "Arrested Development".

"Remember....The money is in the banana stand".

10. I never had a chocolate covered frozen banana,

but I sure loved the chocolate cream pie from The Pie House

I remember a huge slice cost 35 cents, and I usually ordered it to go.
