(26,602 posts)our turn comes. But if the race stays competitive up to the end then we have a better chance of mattering. That may be more likely on the Republican side this year, with so many clowns in the car, but who knows: maybe our race will still be tight in June as well...

And of course, there are plenty of important things on that ballot to be excited about even if Bernie er, Hillary um, Bernie, er Hillary, uhh, somebody has already been chosen...

(5,902 posts)He's a senior citizen, and is actively involved in seniors' issues as well as in City Council public hearings and other community matters.
Laguna's split almost evenly between Democrats and Republicans. According to him, Bernie's got Laguna in the bag as far as the Democrats and Trump's the clear winner among the Republicans.
And catch this: a number of Republicans have told him that they could vote for Bernie if their candidate (Trump or otherwise) isn't the nominee - but would rather walk into the Pacific than even think of voting for Hillary.
That seems to be a common sentiment wherever you go, frankly, and should definitely tell Democrats something about her electability. Or lack thereof.
