We get to return to the office May 18, barring things taking a bad turn. I've enjoyed working from home, but am looking forward to getting back in the office. A business trip or two would actually be nice, but those will be forbidden until late summer at the earliest.

J.B. Hunt and Tyson start to return employees to their corporate offices, while Walmart is delaying until June 1.

then entrance to your personal cube being the width of a door. All the ones that I used to see were light that until the corporations started the "rightsizing" stuff and moved to about 4' height and a wide open entrance..

The old walls used to catch the sneezing and coughing, now it goes to the other cubes.

3. I hate the open office floor plans...

I hope this pandemic will at least cause employers to reconsider this open office concept. My experience has been those who like it generally have offices!

4. Governor Asa assures us that everything is OK and that Momma should go get her hair did.

Watch the stats over the coming weeks. If there is an up-tick in two weeks that grows into a flood, then Asa will surely be terribly disappointed.

(For those of you not from Arkansas, women getting their hair did is the accepted usage in this parts.)

5. My wife was ecstatic she got an appt on the 2nd day of the reopening....

Her stylist told her that her phone was ringing non-stop. Talk about pent up demand! Her shop is even taking Sunday appointments for the foreseeable future.

My sister told me earlier today that my hair stylist niece was pretty much booked through the first half of May.

I've offered for the last five weeks to give my wife a hair do. She wouldnt take me up on the offer! I figured I could get a couple lessons on YouTube. And I I messed up, it's not like anyone would see. It would have time to grow out!

6. I understand the demand. I haven't been this shaggy since the late '70s.

However, I'm going to wait a few more weeks for a haircut.

Governor Asa is conducting an interesting biology experiment. His hypothesis is that the crest of the pandemic has passed and that we can all be unconcerned about going to the barber, beautician, tattoo parlor, the Cracker Barrel, etc.

My concern is that there will be an up-tick in the infection rate in a couple of weeks that grows into a flood. If the infection and death rate remains flat over the next month, then Asa will be vindicated. I sincerely hope that Asa is right.

I prefer to not be a guinea pig in this experiment. If in three or four weeks, the infection rate remains constant I will admit Governor Asa was right and go get a haircut.

My bet is that Asa's impeccable hair is carefully maintained by a stylist that comes to the Governor's mansion when called. I get my hair cut at the local barber and have no idea who was shedding what virus on the chair before I came in.

7. I'm with you, I hope he's vindicated...

in this case. I'll gladly give him the win. He's term-limited, anyway. But, if things go bad, he pretty much owns it.

Hopefully, our fellow Arkansans--or at least enough us--will reallytake social distancing seriously. While my family does go to the grocery store or Home Depot or walking trails or wherever there may be a few other people, we have pretty much stayed home. And our friends and family are doing the same. Let's hope there are enough of us!

I live in Benton County. With around 260K resident, I do continue to be very surprised we have only 80 confirmed cases and no deaths. So, I do take comfort and confidence in that, largely expecting that if I do have to be around other people around town, the chances are pretty small I'll encounter a carrier.
