Arkansas woman who declared her gun range a 'Muslim Free Zone' enters governor's race
A Hot Springs Republican has entered the governor's race and will challenge Gov. Asa Hutchinson in the GOP primary in May.
Jan Morgan, 54, announced her candidacy in a new release sent Sunday night and at an event in Hot Springs.
She owns the Gun Cave shooting range in Hot Springs. In 2014, she drew national media attention by declaring her gun range a "Muslim Free Zone," saying that she was concerned about the safety of other customers if Muslims patronized her business.
In her campaign's news release, Morgan said she traveled the state for six months talking to Arkansans before making her decision to run.

Hi TexasTowelie. I thought my first post "back" should be on a local thread. ( I formerly posted as backtoblue some years ago. ) We already have a republican monopoly of our state and local governing bodies. This person who wants to primary is utilizing shitstain's marketing tools of hateful "one-liners", logos, and open bigotry to attract a base that is loud, proud, and unapologetic.

I've gotten a lot of information from your posts over the years.
I've picked up the pace with my efforts to report the local news articles for all fifty states and U.S. territories. I admit that I post some quirky articles, but hopefully the overall collection will provide both information and entertainment to my fellow DUers. However, receiving some kind words also brightens my day.
