Just caught up on the three episodes that have aired.
I like it. But then again I like shows like this. I watch The Borgias as well.
Anyone else watching Da Vinci's Demons? Thoughts?

(53,955 posts)Craziness in our house and lives has held up TV watching and we got behind. The Borgias is getting weird but still quite interesting. DaVinici is much better than I thought, but I am wondering if they will touch on his homosexuality.

(4,544 posts)I forget which episode, but there was already a hint at bisexuality.
Agree on The Borgias getting weird... I could do without the Lucrezia/Cesare thing, but whatever...

(45,558 posts)Da Vinci, I don't know, it's kind of taking too much leeway what with the Almost Beards and the Just woke up from a nap hairstyles...

(4,544 posts)Did you watch Spartacus? They did the same thing on that show. Sorry, no... Romans did not dress that way, nor wear hair like that, etc. (in a lot of it anyhow). But it was still fun to watch. They aren't striving for historical accuracy in everything... but they are striving for ratings. So, I guess "hawt" in the modern sense sells...

(4,544 posts)But, like you, we like stuff like this, too. I think it's a lot of fun, and I love the mystical stuff, especially when it references real things like the cult of Mithra and the origins of the Tarot (first episode--it really did originate in Italy during this era).
We also watch The Borgias. Watched The Tudors, too.
Did you watch Vikings on History channel? We really liked that show, too. A lot!
