1. Stars are often temperamental,

is that another generalization that does not apply here?

3. His show is not designed to be an interview show.

People watch Stephen Colbert for his humor.

No, he's not Dick Cavett or Tom Snyder or Jack Paar.

5. He's better

than Fallon. His political jokes/commentary are better than Fallon too.

10. I do disagree. I think he's competent interviewer

He's not a journalist or investigator, but I think he does pretty good.

12. Colbert Is The Worse Interviewer Of The Late Night Hosts......

He talks too much about himself. Doesn't ask good questions. Seldom follows up. Doesn't give enough time for an interview. Rushes his guests on and off too quickly. Too superficial. He has good monologues though.

Jimmy Fallon isn't much better. Laughs and giggles too much through most interviews. He makes all kinds of body gestures all around his desk. I'm most uncomfortable watching him.

Seth Meyers is the best interviewer - one on one - with a guest. He doesn't use notes. He asks good probing questions. Guests on his show have ample time for the interview. He hits all kinds of interesting info from his guests. He's very quick witted. His political humor is the best of the late night hosts - followed by Colbert. His writing staff is very talented as well and are included in on many of his bits. Really enjoy watching his show. Wish he was on in Fallon's spot - earlier.

James Cordon is a good interviewer as well. I like his format where he has two to three guests on at one time and they all interact with each other. I always wondered why that isn't the format for all the late night shows. This format separates him from the rest. Cordon is very talented as well. Love his carpool karaoke and his street performances of musicals. Love it when he goes into different businesses and performs various jobs. Love it when he goes into people's homes and does his show.

My all time favorite late night host was Steve Allen. I very much miss Craig Ferguson - a very talented man and quirky to boot. I loved his "I really don't care attitude". Jack Paar was great. And of course Johnny Carson. I like Conan - but he's buried somewhere on cable and not on network TV - so I don't get to watch him that much. Oops - I forgot to add my second best late night host - Dave Letterman. He pushed the envelope on late night.

15. Awwww Steve Allen was the best!

His man on the street bits were classics. (Just went to you tube and caught a video of Steve losing it laughing--even that was great to watch!)

13. He may be, however

I find him to be better than many so called journalists that populate Cable News (Noise).

16. Originally I didn't like Colbert

But his openings are really funny and I think he has done a good job with some political interviews.

I can't watch Fallon any more.
Can't take the giggling.

Jimmy Kimmel is still my favorite.
