Anybody know this TV movie from the 70's?

It was about a woman who is a serial murder (she may be a black widow, marrying and then killing men for their money), who kills her prey in sometimes bizarre ways.

For example, one of her victims is trapped in a sealed up bathroom with the faucets (that the murderer sabotaged) running continuously until he drowns.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

1. Absolutely. It was co-written by Joan Rivers. It was supposed to be a comedy.

The Girl Most Likely To. ABC Movie of the Week. One of my faves.

Full Movie

Storyline

College co-ed Miriam Knight, portrayed by Stockard Channing is smart, witty, and well-meaning, but endures endless bullying because of how she looks and how much she weighs. But due to a freak car accident, she has plastic surgery, with results beyond anyone's imagination. Now ravishing and beautiful, she looks nothing like she used to, but the abuse she suffered while ugly still hurts. Now, Miriam is on a mission for deadly revenge from former tormentors.

BTW, the drownee was Warren Berlinger (Herman). He dumped her and she got her revenge by pretending to seduce him.

I do remember one comedic line (after over forty years) at the funeral of the guy who drowned. The minister prays that the deceased is now resting peacefully "in God's bathroom..."

I'll have to watch the video and see how much I remembered accurately.

You can still watch a lot on You Tube. I googled it recently and saw the list of the movies they made and I was really surprised how many I still remember. Bad Ronald, Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark, Duel, etc.

I like how Stockard Channing gets all her bandages removed and has full makeup (including false eyelashes).
Here is the list...

The first of these movies was "The Abominable Dr. Phibes", which came out in 1971, and had Vincent Price. There was also "Dr. Phibes Rises Again". The movies featured creative ways to kill his victims. The first one got 86% on the Tomatometer on rottentomatoes.com.
