Survivor One World - Episode Three Discussion thread

Great episode. We saw the men begin to really play the social game and saw the women start to finally play with some organization. Though I think the men lost that IC more than the women won it, it still was great to see the men at Tribal.

We started out with the women returning from Tribal. Colton and Jonas invite the women to stay dry in their camp, but them women held out. Yet again, we learn that no one really watches survivor, or else they do not pay attention. The shelter was designed more to keep the sun out than the rain. The women froze and got wet. The women have to step up the shelter and fire making.

The reward challenge was funny. I tip my hate to the women, except Kat, who again proved worthless. that girl has to go home. I do not get the idea to sit out Tarzan and Leif in a clearly mental challenge. They should be sitting those guys out in the physical (Tarzan) or speed (Leif) events.

After winning the fishing gear and the boat, Monica is forced to go beg for an ember to start a fire. When teh guys want to trade, the women back down. Chelsea and Alicia try the same approach and are dismissed when they will not make a decision on the sharing of the boat. Finally the sun comes out and the girls fish. It makes them feel better, but they better buck up that shelter.

Well, the IC was a mess. The men dominated until it got to Bill trying to do the puzzle. Its clear Bill is a great athlete and was a good QB for the first part of the challenge, but the man has no puzzle skills. He lost this one all by himself.

Tribal and the events leading to it was a series of lessons in how to play badly. First Colton tells the whole tribe he has an idol. Really, what the hell was that. He wanted to save it for a week, so he tells them all he has it. What an idiot. Then Colton, Troyzan, Leif, Tarzan and Jonas are discussing the vote. It looks like they really are all together. How the 4 strong guys let that happen is beyond me. Why they did nto do the math day 1 and realize they had to get one more int heir group is crazy. If they had just approached Troyzan from day 1 to lock him in, it might have worked. But they waited until it was clear they were gettign ousted and then Matt tries that bully tactic. God that was stupid. Matt deserved to go because he played the social game like an idiot, but Colton is sucking it up too. Bill, who deserved to go, stayed a week because Matt is just an even worse player then him. Jay should play himself into a position of power in the new group. I am watching him to see how this plays out.

I will say that I liked the end when Jeff told Tarzan he would not read the remaining two votes. I don;t get what Tarzan was doing, but then again, not getting Tarzan is part of what makes this season fun. Matt, goodbye to a bad player.

Normally, I think it's dumb to get rid of strong players too early, but the men did not need Matt and he was being a total ass. Seems like in past years, they wait one tribal too long and then the ass wins immunity.

Colton, Colton, Colton..... such foolish play from a supposed student of the game.

Making Matt go was the right pick if the outcast alliance (isn't that what they're calling themselves?) wants to take over.

Never let Bill do a puzzle again - the guy lost a 5 minute lead.
