1. Wow, my dear George!

Stunning catch, indeed. It took me a minute to realize that there are other birds in this photo! They are very well camouflaged.

I also like how the blackbird is heading into the open space on the left. You captured the scene very well!

5. Glad to show your favorite bird! Amazing you recall that paper in first grade!

Also, Jennifer Juniper is one of my favorite Donovan songs! Thank You!

7. Wonderful!

My daughters learned to read by writing 'papers' in first grade, and their now 2d-grade sons are following suit.

3. Great shot, George!

You captured just the right pose of the bird to show off itís beautiful feather markings. And the composition of the photo draws my eye straight to it. Well Done!

6. Doing a fly-by run on the sparrows?

When I was a kid, there was a farm pond with lots of cattails and red-wing blackbirds. My favorite place to just sit and observe.

Nice shot!

8. Yeah, and you can see how concerned the sparrows are! Thank You Bayard!

No this blackbird was diving back for more bird seed on the ground.

"Your" farm pond sounds idyllic.
