1. I'd say he looks mighty pleased with himself!

With his head up and his front leg likewise up, I think you're right about his attitude.

5. Thanks Peggy!

He shares a stall and paddock with two older mares. Could be he was showing off for them.

2. Cute!

What are the flies like in your area now? Ours have been terrible--fly spray is like an hors d'oeuvre before they get to the horse meat!

6. Thanks Bayard! Yes, flies are bad here too. I like your "hors d'oeuvre" remark.

4. What's on his face?

Does that keep insects off? Because it looks like there’s insects all over it.

Lovely animal.

8. He's wearing his fly mask, Cracklin Charlie.

Come summertime horses get their fly masks on. The masks are effective in keeping flies from their faces. Thank You!

13. I'm glad he has that on.

Look how many of them would be biting him.

I do not like flies.

14. What a fine and gorgeous horse, George!

He does indeed look rather jaunty in this photo! It’s fun to recognize animals’ personalities, and you captured Bailey’s so well in this photo!
