Eastern Tiger Swallowtail & Other Stuff

Butterflies always look like they are sucking a thick shake through a long straw. (to me, anyway)

Green Bottle Fly

Cloudless Sulphur

Crab Spider (teeny tiny spider that lives on my basil)

Honey Bee

Red Wasp

Bumble Bee

Dazzling, really. Thanks! Bugs are so weird and fascinating!

One of my faves in this series is the green bottle fly shot.... very pleasing composition!

I am spending the morning looking for a good spot in NOLA for July 1-3... probably be hot there then, as well, huh? will love the bugs!

*traveling from Miami to San Antonio (the people that schedule my work must be lunatics!)

took this on my last trip to Louisania (grasshoppers the size of a dog ) on my walk through the swamp...

It was 110 degrees this time last year. It's getting up there this year. Yesterday was my year mark for being in LA. (NOLA) Should be nice and toasty for you come July.

Love the swamp.

Have you been on the Creole Trail? Lots of wildlife. Starts just below Lake Charles - the welcome center in Lake Charles, off 10, can tell you all about it. We're going later this year and drive/walk it for a few hours.

WOW! That is a warm (hot!) work 'trail' to travel by, especially in the summer.

I've been curious about your job for a while now and every time you mention it I get the itch to ask, but I won't - and don't tell me!!

I enjoy imagining that you're up to something mysterious and wonderful!
