March Photo Contest Theme Announcement

Last edited Thu Mar 10, 2016, 04:43 AM - Edit history (1)

OK, the votes are in and the theme for March will be

ANIMAL PLANET

Any and all living animals are eligible: Fishes, Amphibians, Reptiles, Birds, Mammals, Insects, Molluscs, Crustaceans, Corals, Arachnids, Velvet worms, and Horseshoe Crabs.

Color or B&W.

I will open the Submissions Thread on Wednesday, March 16th.

Have some fun. See what you can find. Visit your local zoo or aquarium. Or get out in the woods and look for bugs! Go down by the river and look for marsh birds.
Lots of opportunity for variations on this theme.

Edited to add living animals

But, with all the other animals that are possibilities, do you really want to enter a human animal?

On the other hand, there were four out of control young two legged mammals on the beach at dinner tonight using
buckets to catch tiny fish swimming to shore away from the bigger fish. The parental unit mammals were showing
no signs of keeping the young two legged mammals in line while other tables of all adult two legged mammals were
trying to enjoy their dinners.

So...your call!

They don't smile and pose when a camera is pointed at them. Jumping spiders like to vogue for the camera, but they are an exception.

if you can do some portraits of some of the dogs or cats. Offer to send them best shots of each of the
critters you shoot.

OK. Host's call here and I'm going to say yes just because it's much more of a photographic challenge.
