at a reasonable price. Leica's Monochrom is very good, but $15,000 for body and lens is a bit steep.

color filter emulation. The "Swimming in Jello" conversion used a Red filter.

Of course your mileage may vary. Using the SilverEfex plugin from Nik you have really good control over the look. I usually choose "slow speed films" like the kind I used to use so the grain isn't that pronounced. I usually use "asa" 30 to at most 100 emulation. It is probably just me but sometimes digital black and white just looks too clean. I guess I'm just old school

But an update to GIMP broke it. Illford Pan F was my favorite.
