Winter contest announcement

Mnhtnbb has reminded me that it's almost time for the winter contest. You all were probably anticipating this, even though I almost forgot, so will four days be enough time to get your entries ready? How about I start calling for entries on Wednesday and try to get the polls up next weekend? Or I could do it sooner if you're all ready to go.

The last year we lived in Nebraska (1999-2000) our heating bill--one winter month--was almost $1,000.

We haven't had winter either. My yard is a big puddle. The lilacs are budding. I'm afraid to go look if the rhubarb is sprouting under the mulch.

We didn't have a lot of "winter" looking days this year, but I did get out when we had our blizzard a couple of weeks ago.
