but, the statue is on a busy street in front of a fast food place and other commercial businesses... I have lately found myself lamenting all the 'busyness' behind anything I am inclined to shoot...

I am back on the road again and hope to get lots of photos (and history) from across the Country...

Vietnam Women's Memorial in DC and just tonight realized it was her work... in researching, discovered her daughter is married to Harry Connick Jr. and he has written a song "He Is, They Are"... possible connection????

at the moment, and making the best of it.
The sculpture reminds me of the work of Käthe Kollwitz. She is one of my favorite artists.
