Migrating pelicans

I haven't had the opportunity to do much photography recently, but this weekend my husband led me to the migrating pelicans on the Tennessee River. This wasn't quite the peak experience as the other time this happened because the boat can't get in water that is very shallow, and the pelicans seemed a little lazier, but there certainly were a lot of them. Still, it was fun.

Nice crystal clear shots of one of the coolest birds around - I especially like their pink bills. I saw a bunch in the Salton Sea earlier this year. Such graceful birds!
