(22,533 posts)-life had me in its grips- and I just now looked to find the contest half full with photos that include so many winners in it I'm not sure joining in is anything but a filler.
WOW - eye candy galore.
I'm happy!

(8,039 posts)and love the photos. I'm trying to see if I caught a decent fall photo on the one day of color we had. lol Shoveling snow and hoping the ice doesn't come. Worried about power outages if it does as the trees are already weighted down with snow. No photos yet because the Ravens tied me to the TV all afternoon. lol What a game.

(8,039 posts)hardest part and plan on being around as long as we have power. We keep getting these winter storms and I keep worrying we will lose power at the worst possible time. Not just for you because I have to balance out how to keep a parrot warm if we lose power without over doing it if we don't. The rest of us can get under blankets the bird won't have any part of that and has the cats & dogs terrified of his beak. When you hear the I-95 corridor is getting another snow storm that would include me half way between Baltimore & Philadelphia. I'm not the only one that can and is willing to help though, just in case.

(46,436 posts)A happy accident. That wee fae is on her way to being my grand-niece. I think officially next fall but we already claim her as family along with her mom.

(22,533 posts)You came back to enter a photo too beautiful to behold.
I am in awe of her beauty, and your capture of it.
Congrats on the new family member to be.
We have to catch up soon. I haven't really left and do check in. I just have so much going on and when I do sit I have been playing brainless games on the FB as down time.

(4,483 posts)Haven't been on in a while and saw that I have a broken link on my entry, it looks like I got a little too aggressive on my online housekeeping. I'm just going to take that as a sign and keep it at that.

(22,533 posts)It was a simple little error.

(2,435 posts)Those who have been here a while know I suffered a streak of misfortune that resulted in my having to run more than a few of these gigs. They took years off my life - especially when posting a contest thread went "south". This is the first contest I've entered in years. I did it on a whim since it looked like another photo or two were needed. I want to thank Dyedinthewoolliberal taking this on.
I wouldn't even have gone out to take that picture - having taken hundreds just like it - but my wife looked out the window and then looked at me like - why aren't you out there? Thus a picture was born - a contest entry was placed and this damn long winded post got made. I'm good with that.

(27,037 posts)...this (something not unfamiliar to at least a few photographers here, from my previous recollections) should provide an answer.

(22,533 posts)I was very happy to be able to exhale with relief.
Hoping that you will be back and share with us, I will try to pull this exchange into a separate post. Many others would want to know about you, and that your hard time seems over.
