Related: About this forumThe Theme for December Will be "Reflections"
I will post a submission thread about December 12th. Use this time to go out and shoot or rumage through your images to find "that shot."
Submissions should show some kind of reflection. Use of Photoshop or other computer image manipulation is encouraged. All the general rules for past competitions will apply. Below is an example reflection image just to get you thinking.

(256 posts)How do I upload a photo? Or do I have to upload to a third party site and post a link? Are there any good free photo hosting sites out there?

(256 posts)I have about 4 reflection photos in this library but I kind of like this one the best. I looked for the "rules" for submissions, but I couldn't find them. I took this photo personaly, and I only tweaked it slightly in Lightroom. How many photos may we submit?

(22,378 posts)There will be a submission thread posted in a few days. It will be in the photo forum, and clearly labeled as such, and the rules will be posted at the top of the thread.
That is where you name your photo and submit it, there will be 30 submissions allowed. One by each entrant.
Please look for it and hold on to this wonderful shot. It will happen soon, welcome to DU, and a very special welcome to you by me from the photographers.

(256 posts)I'm excited to be here. I was even more excited when I saw that DU has an Art and Photograpy forum! Imagine that!
Should I delete my photo post above for now?
Mira
(22,378 posts)As the submissions come in, which happens over a period of a few days, you can see what others are posting, and maybe chose a different entry. Or not. Who knows. It gives you all the flexibility you may want because til you enter it officially nothing is permanent.
As a matter of fact, you can even usually check with the host/hostess and change your mind even after you enter, and chose a different photo if submissions have not been closed.
This may be more info than you want, but if I were you, and excited as you are, I'd want to know the lay of the land.
It's a very worthy photograph. Just between us, the photo forum is a kind and generous and low key friendly place on DU. We who live here love its tranquility.
