Here is a copy cat band from Chicago in 1968.

Is this Wooden Ships by the Jefferson Airplane? No! It’s a clone band from Chicago called H.P Love craft! The song is called: White Ship! Written by white people. It was further evidence that not all music in 1968 was original or authentic. A lot of bands copied the Beatles and The Rolling Stones. But not this band! They copied; it’s a beautiful day and the Airplane. I bought their album for a buck and fifty cents in the bargain bin. No hole was punched in the corner. I bought it because of the cover art. I was a wicket cover. Why would a band name themselves after a writer from the 1920’s who wrote horror novels? Because their music was horrible! Check it out. I give a it 2 out of 10. But I must say it's better than the Trap rap or Emo rap that kids have to listen to these day's.

The Byrds, Herman's Hermits, The Monkees, ELO, the Beegees, BAafinger and many others recorded at least one song that sounded exactly like the early Beatles.
