When this song came out in '68, the city I lived in was on fire - literally. It was like the country was exploding all around us. Protests, riots, arrests, marches. No matter where you looked, people were angry and letting the world know that they didn't care about conventional means of expression. To this day, this song immediately whisks me back to that time and that place. And I feel the undercurrent of the same explosive rage bubbling up among all of us now, even us old timers.

For those of us old enough to remember, who came of age in '68, we all know where this is going . . . strap in, America, it's going to be a very bumpy ride.
