But, NRPS/Dead/WallofSound. That I remember. And the time, 6 till 2 in the morning. And trying to find my to BC.....totally loaded / non-alcoholic. Everyone left the Garden blissful.

1. Well, they do say that

if you remember the 60s you werent there. And even though the Dead played on after the decade of the 1960s, they were a quintessential part of the whole 60s phenomenon.
I saw them twice, first time on Halloween night in Columbia SC. That would have been weird without the acid.

2. Not 60's for me. Very early 70's.

Here I am 50 years later.....

3. Me too.

I think it was mid-70s when I saw them.

I was opining that the sixties actually lasted from about 1963 with JFKs death and ended when evil Nixon resigned in 1974.

Musically, the sixties went from early 60s until disco killed it.

4. If you have Netflix, I highly recommend "Echo's in the Canyon"

Laurel Canyon, that is....1964-1975. From the Beach Boys to the Papa's to the Byrds.....and beyond! Bob Dylan's son, Jacob, put this together with his band....pretty awesome.

6. Love Jakob Dylan and The Wallflowers. Their new album released this summer, Exit Wounds,

was worth the wait.

5. Very interesting observation....

the sixties actually lasted from about 1963 with JFKs death and ended when evil Nixon resigned in 1974.

JFK's death sure had an impact on David Crosby and the Byrds.....2 years later.

I think the Bee Gee's and/or John Travolta took pop cult in a whole different direction. Where are they now when they can't dance?
