Happy Birthday to the Man in Black!

Love the straight laced Luther Perkins tearing up his guitar solo and looking completely unfazed.

10. Okay, here are my new top things I want to know:

1. What Russia has on Lindsey Graham
2. What Johnny and Luther were talking about

Maybe after Mueller wraps up his current gig, he can check out the video!

15. He never ever stopped being a complete legend

In pain and almost at the end of the road, he recorded songs every day that he was able to get out of bed.

He did this for the last 2 years of his life.

And those sessions were as powerful as his Sun Records sessions were 50 years earlier.

17. I agree

Those final years were incredible and solidified his legendary status. The entire "American" series of albums are just outstanding & you're absolutely right in that, after June died, recording music was all he had left.

We seriously need to get some of you guys down here to Nashville. The Cash Museum is one of the best of its kind and our house is walking distance to the old Cash property.
