The Blues Brothers open for The Grateful Dead at the closing of Winterland. 40 freaking years ago. Amazing. Belushi doing cartwheels, Akroyd blowing the harp. The best band ever. Was smoking. Perfect opener.
My first Dead show, experience with psychedelics, was ten years earlier, also at Winterland. I saw most NYE shows. 50 years of some freaking amazing music, fun, mind expansion, love of music. We heads experience music on a hugely spiritual level. More than most people.
