(2,016 posts)with Broderick Crawford (1949). I think he won an Oscar for that one. Great story of someone who ran on fighting corruption, only to be corrupt in the end.
2nd: "All the President's Men" (1976) - Deep Throat never had it so good.
3rd: "Seven Days in May" (1964) - Burt Lancaster plays a real prick in that one.
4th: "The Manchurian Candidate" (1962) - Wow, Frank Sinatra can act!
All time best: "Dr. Strangelove" - "Gentlemen! You can't fight here. This is the war room!"

(40,416 posts)An absolutely wonderful 1968 flick, a loose fictionalization of the 1960's Greek counter-revolution, which was going on at the very time the film was released. Won the 1968-9 Academy Award for best foreign language film. Also nominated for Best Movie.
