8. A portrait of a turbulent person

It makes me think that youíre capturing much more than the face of a subject. Like youíre painting that personís energy or emotional state. I really like the colors you used and the incredible texture of the paint itself. Your treatment of the background around the subjectís head is very developed and fits very well with the treatment of the subjectís defined facial features. The green reminds me of the patina on bronze.

This appeals to me for all the above reasons. I think you did a great job on the colors, the textures, and the mood the combination presents to the viewer. There is also a feeling of depth which is mysterious and elusive in your portrait as well as a painterly sensuality in the way you worked the paint. Itís very good, and itís quite interesting in an artistic way. Itís impressive!

Thanks for posting it! Itís a treat to look at and study it!
