Am going to catch heck from a certain/authentic Light of this Group.

Am cleaning out a couple of thousands paper (documents stuff, not "art" ), some for transferring to disc, the rest for shredding. These are from the '70s sometime.

1. Never destroy art

Transfer to disc, yes
But keep the originals too

Both of those are keepers, imo

5. You know what I'm gonna say!

Donít destroy any if it! Just donít!

I love your question mark tree shedding piles of question marks with the song and the prickly cactus. The sun looks a lot like the one depicted on the New Mexico State flag which is called the Zia Sun Symbol (see below). Itís a pretty good depiction of being a human being going through life. Question everything, stay true to your sacred self, weather the prickly parts and sing. The song seems to be flowing on a river which is symbolic of the flow of life. Thatís what I see and how it makes me feel and what it makes me think about.

The Meaning Behind the Zia Sun Symbol - a sacred symbol of the Zia people

Both the sun and the number four are sacred to the Zia. The Zia sun sign represents: the four cardinal directions (north, south, east and west), the four seasons of the year (spring, summer, autumn and winter), ... the four seasons of life (childhood, youth, middle years and old age).

Your portrait drawing is excellent. And itís something not all artists can do, and certainly not as good as yours.

Thanks for posting them here!

6. You take art beyond the artist. And yes you are the reference in the o.p. title.

Was stopped from replying b/c of md appt. Now my turn, electricity went out at Noon, so have to be chary with phone, am at 92% and who knows.

St Anthony is patron of finding lost things and never fails, and power is LOST get it, so I paged, but is failing, so I asked to speak to his Supervisor. Joke.

8. You know what?

It's better to get catch heck than be ignored. I like the 2 images you posted, REALLY! Keep on drawing, painting or whatever. Go with your heart and drive. I'm with you, carry on and make good art.

9. Thanks very much for the warm wishes. These were from the '70s, 50 years ago.

ON EDIT: Just focused on your yin yang avatar. Those were really big in the '70s. Had them on my wall.

11. I didn't go deeper than the yin yang icon. Am a surface/generalist/gist type. Dabbled more into Lao

Tzu, on the level of bumpersticker "sayings." I know just enough about several topics to get steered toward where to go look for deeper answers. In my old age am learning more via Google and YouTube (I call it, "The University of YouTube" ) than I ever did through institutional academics, even with an advanced degree.

I'm sure I'll be zinged for this, but Wiki and other such outlets for synopses can cram more gists for books and movies than spending tons of more hours in reading and watching them.
