The ever popular GERMS floor lamp thread...

...Version DU3:



GERMS Floor Lamp Prototype: Steel, aluminum, wood, glass, pleather, polyethylene, hypoallergenic polyfiber, paper mache, acrylic paint, gold leaf, electrical fixture and CFL light bulb. 49.25" height x 16" width x 23" depth.

Paper mache and artwork by GERMS, lamp designed and constructed by Tim K, based on artwork by GERMS, such as:

I've have some lamp ideas that I need to start, however, they aren't as inventive as yours.


Now for a big favor. How did you post your pics?!?

I tied posting a pic of mine and checking it in preview mode only shows a link to my Flickr account. If you don't mind helping a fellow artist out I would be most appreciative :=O

...but I have not been back since the first DU3 preview.

Since I do not use Flickr, I can only speculate that they block the method I used to post my lamp pictures, which is to right-mouse click on the image you'd like to post, select "copy image location," then paste that URL into your post.

Here's an updated version of the lamp, Version 2, posted by the method I described above:
