3. I used opaque vellum paper
It’s so smooth that the charcoal will come off if you touch it so you have to be extra careful with it until you can spray a sealer on it. And I used a smudger to blend all the shading which also adds softness. The sunshine highlights were put in by using a kneading eraser to lift the charcoal off.

7. Her father commissioned me to draw a portrait of both his daughters

both the drawing and the child. His wistfulness, her bit of questioning in the expression! And I like the shadow you captured. You showed the sunshine in a b/w drawing. So very impressive all the way around. Thank you so much, you made my day better
