This was one of my commissioned drawings.

(53,410 posts)Its so smooth that the charcoal will come off if you touch it so you have to be extra careful with it until you can spray a sealer on it. And I used a smudger to blend all the shading which also adds softness. The sunshine highlights were put in by using a kneading eraser to lift the charcoal off.

This sweety was his youngest. He was very happy with both drawings! It made me feel good.
