A numismatic question for DUers

Came upon this coin...it looks to me like a Georgia commemorative quarter has been powerfully impacted by a Connecticut commemorative quarter. Can't say for sure whether it might have occurred in the mint or afterward. Anyone got any ideas?

1. My dad collected coins.

I think double stamped coins are valuable.

Any coin collectors out there?

I know double stamped bills are valuable.

2. My opinion

And not an expert but this looks like the damage is after the mint. It has a fair degree of wear across the face but the damaged area is still fresh.

So-worth a quarter.

Again-not an expert. But people use coins as shims, they get run over who knows.

3. Individual mint error.

Lots of collectors but no great value.

4. A true double die would be two of the same thing

not separate dies.

6. This is an error coin.

Value depends on severity of the mis-strike.

Certainly worth more than a quarter to an error collector.

I collect nickels that were struck on copper planchet. They look like bronze nickels.
