How do you clear your mind of Trump uglies?

I used to watch ,then I decided I can't bear looking at him anymore.

I looked for something to binge. I found The Walking Dead.
Now when I need to clear my head, I turn off News and turn on the walkers.

It works. Clears my mind of trump. The ugly walkers are not real. Its easy to turn them off unlike Trump.

Try it,you might like bloody gore better than bloody lies.

Particularly Numbers 1,2, 4, and 8. It's easy to lose oneself in the pure rapturous beauty of this glorious music.

Inspector Morse, Lewis, Endeavour, Midsomer Murders, Father Brown, Foyle’s War — those kinds of beautifully filmed, well acted, bits of gruesome mayhem. I love the locales around Oxford, the tongue-in-cheek attitude of the actors, the simple escapism.

Also enjoy Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries and Doctor Blake, both from Australia.

Forgive me, but for some reason I put on Despacito. Maybe it's the beat, or the beauty of the back drop. Right now, I just need music and my brain must spark to this song until something else takes its place.

When I can't get away, I read a book. Or look through my photo archives. Or take my dog for a walk. Or get my camera out and look for something to shoot. Or see if there's a movie to watch on demand on TV.

My favorites are List25, TopTenz, Atheist Experience, Alternate History Hub, Matt Santoro, British panel shows (like QI and Would I Lie to You). Lately I've been watching Irish People Try <insert stuff like Burger King, southern deserts, Fritos, etc.>.

There's nothing like assorted trivia, watching comedians top each other, and wondering what would have happened if some historical event had gone the other way to take your mind off our troubles.

It's on Hallmark Movies and Mysteries and I used to watch it with my grandmother. They have a few others I like, mainly "Monk" and "Diagnosis: Murder" with Dick Van Dyke. Trying to figure out the mystery took my mind off Trump and it was interesting to see the familiar actors - the entire cast of M.A.S.H. was on one show or another, LOL. I figured once the campaign was over, I'd never have to see or hear from him again. *sigh*

I watch Netflix and Prime on a tablet and that's it.

Find something to take your mind off of things. I've taken up knitting (pussyhats). It is very good for clearing the mind.

Other suggestions-- read or watch something totally fluffy, watch cat videos, meditate, take up yoga, exercise, etc.

I've been fairly lucky that so many opportunities opened up to me after Trump's inauguration. Last night I went to a community organizing event. I have a meeting with that organizing group every week for the next several weeks. We will block walk in poorer Hispanic areas next year. Tonight I had Voter Action Network training with the Democratic Party. Tomorrow night, I'm going to a free screening of a movie about immigration with a friend that I've met in all my activism. This weekend, I'm blockwalking in an affluent area. I'm so busy I don't have time to think about Trump, yet I'm doing something about it.

I go to school for retired people.

I agree with Femmocrat about gardening. I'm a master gardener, my yard is a mess right now, I haven't had time!!
