Which should I watch tonight? "From Here to Eternity" or "The Right Stuff"? Never seen either. (Original Post) applegrove Apr 2012 OP

Under-rated in its original release. Turned out to be a classic. Great performances all around. Bill Conti's Oscar-winning score (with the main theme cribbed note-for-note from Tchaikowski's Violin Concerto), and, among the hyper-macho, womanizing jet jockies of the Mercury program, the most morally upstanding are the two progressive Democrats, John Glenn and Scott Carpenter.

Enjoy!
