But they are still less-sweet and hold up better in milk.

And they tell me that almost NOTHING tastes the same. One told me that Premium Crackers taste like puffed up, tasteless cardboard. I ask her why she keeps on buying them, and she said that all of the rest of the crackers are worse. YIKES. I remember when I used to eat Premium Saltine Crackers, and they were the gold standard in crackers.

But then again, I ate my last Premium Saltine Cracker over 30 years ago, and we know that food isn't made with the same quality products that they used to be made with.

and heading for the pantry to get the box of Premium Saltines and then the fridge for a stick of butter and then settle in for the afternoon UHF shows. Butter cracker, butter cracker, sip of Coke, butter cracker...repeat until Leave it to Beaver, Andy Griffith, Brady Bunch, Gomer Pyle and Hogan's Heroes were over then put everything up and pretend I was doing homework as parents got home from work.

I'm not wild about the cream filling in Oreos, they taste like overly sweetened lard to me, but the Mister loves 'em.

I'll have to pick up a package when I see it. I remember greatly preferring the filling in Hydrox to that of Oreos. Both are good, but Hydrox was better.

I suppose they'll be made with high fructose corn syrup anyway.

How many years have they been off the market? Yeah, I can look that up.

The Sunshine Biscuit Company and history of Hydrox! I was expecting their return because I heard a segment on the radio about it, probably NPR, although it's be a while.
