What is your favorite and least favorite foods on Thanksgiving?

Happy Thanksgiving! What do you like and dislike at your thanksgiving table?

My favorites are stuffing, corn pudding and sweet potato casserole.

I don't like cranberries or green bean casserole. I'm also not a big fan of fruit pies like apple pie.

All other foods are fine well except sweet potatoes don't taste as good as when I was a kid.

I really hate stuffing though.

It was just my brother and me for a change - his family was out of town. We had pheasants, wild rice, asparagus, cranberry-orange relish, pecan pie, ice cream and four bottles of Sauvignon Blanc. Good wild rice - not the hard crunchy paddy-grown kind, but the stuff harvested by the Ojibway tribe in N. Minnesota - is probably my favorite Thxgiving food.

with some good gravy. I like sweet potatoes, but I prefer for them to be topped with toasted spicy pecans to marshmallows.

I'm not a fan of green bean casserole because I don't like cream of mushroom soup. I make green beans with a mustard sauce that's really yummy. I don't especially like dressing because it's so filling.

I've never been a fan of pumpkin pie. I don't find the texture appealing. I make a kick ass pecan pie and my apple pie is yummy too.

...dressing/stuffing recipe, and, if I do say do myself (and I do), it is really delicious -

-traditional sage-rosemary bread cubes and crumbs
-sauteed purple onion
-wild rice
-crumbled sweet Italian sausage
-pine nuts
-orange-flavored dried cranberries

I cannot stand acorn squash in any way, shape or form.

Loved the marshmallow topping as a kid, but this is way better. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/15633/gourmet-sweet-potato-classic/

Unfavorite: Jellied cranberry "sauce" in a can. It was a long time before I realized you're apparently supposed to use this as a topping with turkey, the same way you're always supposed to serve mint jelly with lamb, or applesauce with pork chops. (I've never had any of those, but they seem to be either staples or cliches outside my little world.)

I love the turkey too. Dark meat for me, please.

The item I really don't like is a 3 way tie between the sweet potato /marshmallow, green bean casserole w fried onions on top, and the jello thing. On second thought, the jello thing may be the worst.

Roast beef, turkey, ( mainly because I love the stuffing cooked in the cavities, otherwise I could take or leave the turkey), scratch made stuffing, ( none of that crap out of a box), deviled eggs. pickled beets.

Dislikes

Ham, green been casserole, anything with marshmallows.
