4. My perhaps less funny, but true interview story

Many years ago I interviewed for two different jobs within the same organization. I completely nailed the first interview. Instead of the normal barrage of bullshit abstract questions, they were asking me highly technical questions which were uniquely well suited to the particular set of skills I possessed at the time. I gave them answers I knew that were head and shoulders above what they were expecting and their surprise at them told me none of the other interviewees were able to do so. During the second interview I was completely relaxed because I was confident I had the first job and the second job was much less desirable. About half or more of the questions were well out of my experience, and rather than even attempt to bullshit them, I simply replied that I had no idea and left it at that. Amazingly I didn't get the first job, but got the 2nd one. They later told me they really appreciated my honesty and since nobody else was all that qualified that tipped the scales my way.

always start with the interviewer saying, "When can you start?"

Not always the best jobs, though...
