OG&E sends convey of trucks to Colorado to help with power outages

OKLAHOMA CITY —OG&E has sent a convoy of vehicles to Denver to help with power issues after a blizzard dropped up to 20 inches of snow in and around the Denver metro.

"Big Orange" as OG&E calls it, is a fleet of bucket trucks. The company said it is sending trucks to help in Denver after Denver sent help to Oklahoma during the November ice storm.

OG&E said the trucks would travel about 650 miles on Thursday depending on conditions.

The trucks left around 6 a.m. on Thursday.

It is always nice when states help each other in emergencies. Oklahoma has been on the receiving end many times. I am glad that OG&E is returning the favor.
