and after a few years we moved to Colorado. He got out of the car, saw the snow and went absolutely batshit crazy running around, trying to bury himself in what was only a couple of inches of snow. Fortunately for him, we then moved up into the mountains where we would have snow on the ground from late September/early October until May. In May he would be outside sitting on the last patches of snow/ice to try to save it.

He and the husky would play burying their little non-snow dog brother in the snow. I remember after one particularly heavy snow, throwing the two big dogs off the deck over and over until the little dog wanted to play. Except he couldn't handle the 4 feet of snow and I had to go unbury him.
