Los Angeles County officials say human leg stolen from van

There's a Los Angeles County in Florida? Who knew?!

http://www.sfgate.com/news/crime/article/LA-County-officials-say-human-leg-stolen-from-6583875.php

Los Angeles County authorities are investigating the theft of a human leg from a van belonging to an organ and tissue donation organization.

The Los Angeles Times reports (http://lat.ms/1GjUYHk) the limb was stolen early Monday while staffers for the nonprofit One Legacy stopped for a bite at a downtown restaurant.

When they returned to their vehicle, the cooler containing the wrapped and chilled leg was gone.

Coroner Mark Fajardo said in a letter to county supervisors that it's likely the thief didn't know what was in the cooler.
