Appropo of nothing, I happened to re-watch "Seven" yesterday,

and thought of the scary and sad coincidences between that film and reality, namely Morgan Freeman's character - he's a New York City cop who seeks to retire from the NYPD and New York City's squalor (of 1995). I'd had it on DVR since the beginning of August, and maybe I subconsciously felt driven to re-watch it in light of the sad news about his stepdaughter.

from mid-town NYC.

Good flick, but I just hate when the director assumes his audience is geographically ignorant.

That last scene in Seven is very likely from that area - northern LA county. It's only an hour drive from Burbank/Studio City.
