Since I am limited to only 10 choices for this poll, I will certainly not be able to list all the great songs the Rolling Stones have recorded; so don't get mad if your favorite is not among the ones listed.

1. I think it's "Ruby Tuesday"

Something totally out of character for them and we haven't seen a comparable song since then. It's my favorite by them anyway.

For me, it's really hard to pick just one song from a group like the Stones, Beatles, Moody Blues, Airplane or any
group from 60' and early 70's. Depending on my mood depends on which song or group I'll listen to.

As far as The Jefferson Airplane", I saw them many, many times at the old Fillmore, before and after Grace Slick replaced Signe....I really liked Signe's voice...She quit the band to have a baby.

Big fan of this song. As Rolling Stone magazine explains:

It's the Stones' greatest guitar extravaganza – brutal but wide-open and a rare moment of on-the-rec­ord, long-form jamming from a band that rarely indulged in sprawling musical explorations popular during the early Seventies. Maybe it isn't surprising, then, that the recording came about almost entirely by chance. The first third of the song is an elemental blues rocker rooted in a vintage fist-in-your-chops Richards riff and a funky, tight-coiled groove from Watts and Wyman. The extended instrumental section that comes in at the 2:40 mark happened because the band thought the song was over: "Toward the end of the song, I just felt like carrying on playing," Taylor recalled later. "Everybody was putting their instruments down, but the tape was still rolling, and it sounded good, so everybody quickly picked up their instruments again and carried on playing. It just happened, and it was a one-take thing." The results feature Taylor at his most fluid, playing Latin-tinged lines that wrap around Richards' bracing staccato shots. Saxophonist Bobby Keys adds a blues-wailing solo. "He was a very fluent, melodic player?.?.?.?and it gave me something to follow, to bang off," Jagger said of Taylor.

29. Prior to "Jumpin' Jack Flash," they'd NEVER done a song like that. NEVER.

That one was the game changer, in the same way "Revolver" was the game-changer for The Beatles.

I loved the radio hits like "Satisfaction," "The Last Time," and the rest...but JJF entered whole new, uncharted realms.

Having turned into a teenager (and a guitarist) when the Rolling Stones just became popular, I remember Satisfaction putting them on a whole new level in people's minds. I think it turned them into the superstars they became. I don't see any other tune by them having such a dramatic effect on young people of the era.

Most of their hits were great and it would be hard to list them in order of preference, But I love Satisfaction, Ruby Tuesday, Paint It Black, 19th Nervous Breakdown, Last Time, Time Is On My Side for starters.
