We used to have a TV weatherman in our area who brought his dog to work with him. He called his dog The Weather Lab. I think he brought the dog to work because the dog was very old, and he was worried about leaving him home alone.
Some joker started turning the dog loose during the TV forecast. The dog would wander onto the set, mill around the weatherman's feet, and then lie down. It was funny, but distracting. The weatherman stopped bringing Weather Lab to work.

(54,330 posts)Kachelmann, much appreciated and easily recognized by his undisguised heavy Swiss accent was accused of rape (justly or unjustly, we never found out, but he was acquitted, and stuck to his story while his accuser changed her story more than once), and he later sued for damages as he lost his job permanently due to the accusation.
Before he got involved in the controversy, he was one of Germany's most popular weathermen.
