New foster kitteh

This is little Merlin. 12 weeks old. He's a really nice little guy. We had to take him home from the pet store because he is suffering from a really bad cold. He's sneezing a lot, stuffed up, and has a little snotty nose we have to clean regularly. He also has a hard time breathing through his nose, so his little mouth is always open as he gets his breath. Oh, and he's lot his voice. We see him trying to meow, but nothing comes out. Cute, but heartbreaking at the same time.

He has been adopted, to this point, we are just nursing him back to health so he can be sent to his forever home.

He loves, loves loves being tucked into the blankets between my wife and I to sleep. He really wants to play with the other cats but is just too sick right now.

We're going to be bringing him to the vet this afternoon for a check up and maybe a round of anti-biotics to break this nasty little virus.

He just has a bad cold. We got some antibiotic, chicken flavoured!
Vet said he should be almost back to normal in 48hrs.
everything else is fine.
His eyes do seem to be a gray/blue.
No, he's not deaf, just lost his voice to the cold.

I hope they can get him antibiotics. My kitty had similar symptoms (couldn't eat much because was so congested he couldn't breathe and eat at the same time) and after a day on meds he felt soooo much better. Thanks for helping this little adorable guy!!

Long hair and white only Alaska has one blue eye and one green eye. Everybody kept telling me that she was going to be blind and/or deaf but she is neither. She showed up last Thanksgiving while we were eating Thanksgiving dinner. She's a year old now and is HUGE. She's far outgrown her mentor, Erica, though Erica still treats her like she's "her" kitten. We've nicknamed her Baby Huey.

Cute little boy. I'm glad he has a forever home.

20. Merlin's vet visit update

The vet gave him a thorough going over and he is fine.
He has been given the first 2 doses of his antibiotic and this morning, his little foster brother Poe decided he was ready to fight.
So they rolled around a bit, wrestled, then Poe took off. I think Poe knows he's not 100% so he cut the little guy a break.
Before I left for work, I had to lock him in our spare room with a little box as the vet needs a sample to check for works and other stuff.
Hated to do it, but better for his overall health.
He was also treated for ear mites.
In another week or so, we're hoping he is right as rain and ready for his forever home!
