So I'm chasing this huge black Angus bull away from my house....

He broke some of my solar path lights and knocked over my neatly stacked wood pile. This thing was huge. I managed to "cow" it and had it on the run with the help of a few rocks. I chased it through the thick mesquite. Now, I bought this 40 acres in '78, and I was the only person for miles around. (Not so much anymore.) As I passed a small clearing, I noticed a small circle of rocks, definitely man-made.
On the west end of the circle was a rock that had an "M" carved into it, (also definitely man-made) along with several other scratches. This has to be quite old.
I'm not sure what it means. I'm hoping there is a treasure buried underneath. I thought about calling the University of Az, but I think I'll dig a bit first. No one has been around here since the Indians.

Is there a chance that your stone circle could mark a grave? Arkansas Granny Sep 2014 #1
That could be, but the circle was only about two feet. panader0 Sep 2014 #2

Buried treasure isn't usually marked so conspicuously.

The rock that was marked had a distinctive natural line on it as well, perhaps as a pointer. The six or seven other scratches on the rock could mean six paces in that direction. It's a mystery.

Just kidding. I chased it to the big BLM pond adjacent to my land.
