Help me pick a new hair style

or

Family pictures are today and I normally would have gotten my summer buzz cut but I put it off to look clean and respectable for the picture's sake. Now I get to get that buzz or have even more fun. I'm no Strummer or Pitt but have a similar shaped head and can pull it off (the style, not my head).

I'm lucky that I don't have an office job nor do I have impress anyone (stay at home Dad/writer). It being summer time, I won't be even wearing long pants till October (barring a funeral or wedding that pop up in the last minute). I feel like a little boy who gets to shave his head or get a mohawk during summer break.

Results of poll are non-binding.

Go big or go home.

(I voted Strummer, but then, I have my original Clash 45s, so it was a no-brainer for me!)

but really those are both technically mohawks...Strummer's is just narrower.

Any hair cut where the sides are shaved to above the temple and the top is left longer, with or without a shaved back is a mohawk. Go with the Strummer. Nobody looks good in a Brad Pitt hairstyle but Brad Pitt.

Alternately, go with the Cristiano Ronaldo. It's basically the same shaved-close sides as the Brad Pitt, left about 1" on top, slightly longer in the front so you can spike it up slightly then you use pomade to give the impression of a side-part. Wears cool, wears well sporty or out on the town, looks dapper as fuck.

I usually get some variation of that, buzzed on the sides and leave 3/4 inch on top, just enough to lay down.

He wanted his hair "shaded" using guards that allow shorter up to slightly longer buzz clip around sides and back and about an inch and a half on top. It doesn't look as close cut as your examples & a little shorter on top. Pretty much like the third photo (Adam Levine) in this article-
