(39,343 posts)The last place I waited tables was a Ruby Tuesday near the interstate. One day a family of 4 came in, two parents in their 30's with a sleeping infant in a carrier and a 4-5 year old. The 4 year old was a raging terror from the second they came in the door until the food was served. The mother had ordered one of those huge fishbowl sized margaritas and was constantly having to tell the kid to stop messing with it. The kid remained a terror. The infant started to cry and the mom turned her focus to the infant and away from the kid.
The kid leaned up against the table and held his face a few inches above the huuuuge margarita. He put the straw in his mouth and took a huuuuge gulp that seemed to last3-5 seconds. He then fell to his butt in the booth and remained quiet for the remainder of the meal. The parents got to enjoy the rest of their meal as the kid finally mellowed. When they left, they had to carry him out.
