Rumor Has It

Anticipation ... It's keepin' me waiting ...

James Taylor and Carly Simon To Reunite!
Inside word from “Late Night With David Letterman” is that for one of the final shows for “Big Dave,” Carly Simon and James Taylor will stage a very unexpected yet highly anticipated reunion (first in well over 30 years) to sing their big hit duet “Mockingbird,” which was itself a cover version of the 1963 hit by Inez and Charlie Foxx. “Mockingbird” is celebrating its 40th Anniversary this year, when Carly Simon released it as a single from her “Hotcakes” album, where she was seen in all white with pregnant tummy (son Ben Taylor) on the LP cover.

Sonny and Cher appeared on the Letterman show in a famous “reunion” and they sang “I Got You Babe” for adoring fans. Now, it’s Simon and Taylor’s turn to ‘do a solid’ for their friend Dave. The reunion was actually orchestrated by super sax man David Sanborn (himself a former regular in Letternman’s band) who played on the original record “Mockingbird” as well. #SetYourTivo
