PSA for those that have kids or dogs.

DO NOT leave your laptop plugged in and charging in a traffic area.
Friend brought his laptop over last night. Display looks like an abstract art piece.
Good news is that drive is OK. Found a replacement screen for $75.
When it gets here it will take about an hour to replace and finish checking out system.

I thought the owner stepped out of bed onto it, but it turns out someone drove over it on the garage floor!
Son ordered and replaced screen and it was okay- except he had to make the keypad "2" take the place of the keyboard "2" and "@". I think the slightly pushed-in back messed up the "2".
He got an Apple laptop for college, so I use the ASUS sometimes when my old iMac can't play videos.
Good luck on your repair- my son said it was easy, he used a YouTube guide as I recall.
